The increasing brightness of modern accelerator-based sources is advantageous for the study of trace or dilute species in complex media found in heritage samples. The use of high-intensity sources requires safe conditions for the study of objects and samples. The IAEA has a pioneering program in this field, organizing consultation meetings and technical meetings in 2015 and 2017.
This first hands-on workshop "Safe Analysis of Heritage Objects and Materials Using Novel Accelerator-based Analytical Techniques", jointly organized by the IAEA, the CNRS and the Université Paris-Saclay, will provide participants with a broad overview and state-of-the-art presentation of the latest developments and procedures to improve best practices. It will takes place on 13-17 November 2023 at Paris and Paris-Saclay area.
